Dr. Helen believes that God has a very high purpose for The Peace Rug and that is to help heal broken and wounded relationships for children.  She wants so much to help improve the lives of each child - not just those that she teaches - but every child.

She knows how much neglect and abuse many experience on a daily basis; so lately, she added something new to her teaching methods - Millie, a precious teacup poodle! Millie only weighs 3 pounds but she has a thousand pound heart, because everyday she is with Helen at school - with children who are in deep distress. Crying and holding Millie helps tremendously. That little dog works as hard as Dr. Helen - trying to heal some of the terribly wounded hearts of our littlest ones.
